Erica Robinson is her mother who has confirmed her passing via the social media pages on which she announced the news regarding her death on the 3rd February. The post in which Robinson announced her death, saying that the 18-year-old was killed and also posted a picture of her daughter, taken by her father before she died. Wearing matching red T-shirts both women appear to be standing in front of one another. Officials from the Jackson Police Department confirmed Gatlin's demise occurred in the area of Barnes Street.
